Easy and secure with the ABN AMRO App

If you’ve been in touch with one of our advisers for example a loan, a mortgage or an investment product, we might have sent you some documents or information. Or perhaps we’ve asked you to send us some documents. There’s a quick, easy and secure way of doing this using the app. Read on to find out how.

Here's how you can exchange documents

  1. You get a message from us

    If we want to exchange documents with you, you’ll see a message in the ABN AMRO app. Your messages are at the top left, under the bell icon. The number in the dot shows how many unread messages you have. Tap the bell icon to go to your messages.

  2. Go to your messages

    Open the message entitled: ‘Exchange documents’. Tap ‘Go to the overview’ in the message. You are now leaving the ABN AMRO app and will continue in your device’s browser via a secure connection.

  3. Here's how to share documents with us

    • If you’ve been asked to share documents with ABN AMRO, you’ll see an overview of the documents concerned under ‘Send documents’.
    • Tap ‘Upload your files’ under the subject to upload your documents. To share more than one document, tap ‘Upload your files’ again.
    • If you’ve uploaded a photo of the document, tap ‘confirm’. If you’ve uploaded several photos, tap ‘Merge and confirm’. Once you’ve tapped ‘Merge and confirm’, all your documents will be merged to form a single PDF file.
    • You’ll see confirmation that you’ve successfully uploaded your documents on the screen.
    • Once you’ve uploaded all the documents per subject, tap ‘Send’.
    • You’ll see confirmation that you’ve successfully sent your documents on the screen.

  4. We've shared documents with you

    If ABN AMRO has shared documents with you, you’ll find them under ‘Download documents’. Tap the document to open and/or download it.

  5. Your files are in the overview

    You can always find your files and shared documents in the ‘My Documents’ overview on Internet Banking. The link to the overview is on the ‘Self service’ page, under ‘Communications and appointments’ > ‘Exchange documents’.
